It is focused on the creation and delivery of award winning design, working directly with the marketing teams and alongside external agencies.``
The Design Services team supports the UK&I business with the provision of design activation services in the area of Packaging, POS, and Sales Activity.
The team is composed of a design project management team, a design development team, and a studio support team. The Design Services team partners closely with Marketing, PCM and Sales teams in the UK and Ireland, external strategic agencies, and the company`s own Brand Design team.
This client are looking for a Senior Design Leader who is ``a creative thinking strategic packaging designer with a track record preferably having worked within one of the leading innovation or design agencies, to create and implement sharp and breakthrough packaging ideas and designs``.
The role of Senior Design Leader is responsible for leading and producing design creations within a specific expertise area or Category and under the guidance of the Manager, Design Team.
The scope of design activity falls within design activation tasks according to UK&I stakeholder expectations and aligned with the company`s vision for Brand Design. With focus on UK&I design activation for packaging, strategic POS and sales activity support, the Senior Design Leader is responsible for delivering against the design standard set by the Manager, Design Team, for leading the design direction on assigned initiatives, contributing effective design solutions, and for inspiring and leading designers and freelance creative`s.
This role will partner with a Design Project Lead to ensure appropriate design talent, resources and design methodology are applied to the business needs which manages the career development of three designers.
Key accountabilities of the role are essentially -
1. Develop brand activation designs for the UK&I
Including but not exclusively - Coffee, Cheese, Biscuits and Beverage brands.
2. to Lead designers and freelance creative
3. Continuous improvement to design knowledge and trends:
This is a unique, incredibly diverse and UBER challenging role for a talented hands on Senior Creative with VERY strong managerial abilities. Resource planning for your team will also be key to the success of the team as will having a forward thining insight and knowledge of your sector and it`s competitors.
