MediaCom Worldwide will see the appointment of a new chairman and chief executive.

The UK chief executive of Group M Steve Allan has announced that he is to join MediaCom Worldwide, reports Brand Republic.

Mr Allan will replace Alexander Schmidt-Vogel as chairman and chief executive of the organisation in a move which will also see Group M's chief operating officer Nick Theakstone promoted to head of that company.

Mr Schmidt-Vogel has been head of MediaCom Worldwide since 2002, prior to which he was chairman and chief executive of the European branch.

Meanwhile, Mr Allan has been responsible for the implementation of a new management structure at Group M, which saw him appoint Mr Theakstone as chief operating officer responsible for non-trading areas, according to Brand Republic.

Group M is a global media investment management operation specialising in benefit training and new communication services.

MediaCom is one of the world's biggest media agency networks, with over 100 offices in 80 countries.

Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
