Willmott to join DDB

JWT global creative director will join DDB, it has been announced.

Media agency DDB has announced that it will appoint Howard Willmott as the new creative director for the company, according to Campaign magazine.

Mr Willmott, who previously worked for advertising agency JWT, will report to the executive creative director in London Jeremy Craigen.

He will work on several accounts in Europe, which are yet to be announced, as well as managing creative accounts in the UK.

Stephen Woodford, chairman and chief executive of DDB, said that he was pleased with the new appointment.

"This is a new role for DDB and reflects London's role as a key hub for global business. With Howard's arrival and our other recent hirings, we have strengthened our team with some of the best and most experienced players in the market," he said, according to Campaign.

Mr Willmott had previously been global creative director for the Vodafone account at JWT, a position he had held since 2006.

JWT is the fourth largest advertising agency brand in the world, with over 8,500 employees in 87 countries, according to advertising holding company WPP.
