Irrelevant applications 'recruiters' biggest problem'

Irrelevant information provided by job applicants has been voted as the biggest gripe for recruiters.
Jobhunters must ensure that they provide relevant responses when applying for new roles, it has been claimed.
A survey by Broadbean Technology found that irrelevant responses from candidates was their respondents' biggest bugbear, followed by answers that were too short.
Acording to the technology provider, this is wasting businesses' energy and extending the time it takes to seek roles.
However, Broadbean head of account management Emma Cuffaro said that it is not only candidates who have a part to play in ensuring clarity.
"Recruiters must make sure adverts are well written and concise to ensure that they get the most relevant CVs back from job boards. In such a competitive industry there is no room for apathy; writing a two-liner or just copying a job spec just won't do," she said.
Broadbean Technology is one of Europe's biggest advert distribution and response tracking companies, also working in the US and Australia.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
