A new marketing agency will focus on brand promotion to the older generation.
A new agency is to be launched, focusing on brand promotion to the over-50s, it has been announced.
According to Brand Republic, tgi50 is set to begin trading on August 16th and will be involved in sales promotion, direct marketing, SEO and digital marketing; however, it will not deal with traditional advertising campaigns.
Robert Campbell will head the operation, along with Toby Constantine, the former marketing director of the Times and the Sunday Times.
Mr Campbell said that he was confident that the new agency will be a viable competitor to some of the other organisations in this particular marketing sector.
"It's a challenger organisation to Saga. We will be acting as a conduit for contemporary brands that usually aim at under-35s that now want to target the over-50s market but wouldn't be seen dead in Saga magazine," he said, according to Brand Republic.
Earlier this month, a representative of Age Concern spoke out to claim that internet providers and advertisers should be more aware that increasing numbers of older people are using the internet.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
