Publicis has announced the appointment of two new executives.
Two executives from the agency Shop, which announced its closure this week, are to join Publicis, it has been announced.
According to Brand Republic, Tom Ewart and Andy Lear will become the company's joint executive creative director and head of planning respectively.
Ewart will replace Nik Studzinski, who left in February this year to join the agency Mother and Lear will supplant Kim Douglas after she left in November 2007.
Publicis chief executive Neil Simpson said that he is hoping to rebuild the agency, which lost the business of some of its high-profile accounts last year.
"I'm trying to build a new communications agency and want a senior management team with the experience, but also the hunger, to roll their sleeves up and build something new," he said, according to Brand Republic.
The managing director of Shop Casper Thykier is reported to be in talks with the agency Freud to establish a possible move when the company folds in late May.
Publicis was established in 1972 and is the UK's fourth largest media communications network, covering clients such as Cadbury, Garnier and Renault.
