ECI buys i-level

The private equity company ECI has announced that it has bought the agency i-level.
Digital media company i-level has been bought out by private equity firm ECI, it has been announced.
According to Brand Republic, the £45.5 million deal was finalised this week, with ECI taking a 60 per cent share in the company.
The remaining shareholding will remain with i-level's management, including founders Andrew Walmsley and Charlie Dobres.
ECI director David Ewing said that he was pleased with the move, which should make more money available to the organisation.
"I-level is a fantastic company operating in a fast-growing market run by a great management team. We are excited about the opportunity to support the continuing strong growth of the business," he said, according to Brand Republic.
The company, which is the UK's largest independent media agency, offers specialist services in digital space marketing, including social media, mobile, affiliates and search optimisation.
