New marketing executive for ITV

ITV will appoint a new marketing executive, it has emerged.

Broadcasting giant ITV has announced that it will appoint a new marketing strategy director at its London offices.

According to Brand Republic today (May 15th), Chad Wollen, former director of insight, foresight and media innovation at AOL Europe, will take the position and will take responsibility for marketing and brand planning.

He will report to ITV group marketing director David Pemsel.

Previously, Mr Wollen has held positions at Yahoo! Mobile Europe and the Henley Centre.

"It's fantastic to be joining ITV at such an exciting and significant time in the development of its marketing and branding strategy," he said.

ITV is the biggest commercial television network in the UK and is made up of 15 regional licenses, providing television to viewers across the UK.

Some 11 of the licenses in England and Wales are owned by ITV Plc, which was formed in 2004 following the merging of Carlton and Granada.
