The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) has announced the winners for its Creative Showcase awards for the first part of 2008.
Internet marketing campaigns were the focus of the Creative Showcase awards for the first part of 2008, which gathered the winners from January to April in order to present and discuss the best advertisements for the online medium.
January's winner was AKQA for their Nike+ Supersonic campaign, which was entirely managed through the social networking site MySpace.
One of the runners-up was Profero for their work on the FRANK anti-drugs campaign, which was aimed at young people.
February saw Tribal DDB take the top spot for their overhaul of the Volkswagen website, while March recorded success for the Resident Evil: Extinction campaign by Greenroom Digital, which allowed people to create zombie versions of themselves.
Zombies also helped the winners for April, which saw the Franki and Jonny site for the film REC win the highest accolade.
"The afternoon was a wonderful event in celebrating online advertising for the first third - another benchmark has been set for advertisers to strive to for the rest of the year," said the IAB website.
The IAB is the trade association for online advertising and has over 380 members, including media owners and agencies.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
