Cruickshank to join Billington Cartmell

Advertising agency announces new appointment.

UK-based advertising agency Billington Cartmell has announced that it has appointed a new head of direct marketing, reports Precision Marketing.

Ian Cruickshank will join the agency next month, after having taken voluntary redundancy from DraftFCB in December 2007.

Mr Cruickshank is to oversee the entire marketing department for the company, whose last campaign was for the sports drink Lucozade Hydro Active.

He has also been previously employed at Proximity London and TBWA/GGT, where he worked for three years.

Billington Cartmell promotes products through direct, digital, experiential, advertising and promotional marketing and was established in 1990.

It lists families, retail, music and entertainment and the over 50s as its specialist areas and has produced material for Dairylea, Carlsberg and Nescafe, having successfully implemented a campaign including fashion gurus Trinny and Susannah for the latter.

DraftFCB has worked for clients including Audi, KFC, Nivea fof Men and Starbucks and has offices worldwide.
