New appointment for Landor

A London-based marketing agency has announced a new design appointment.

Marketing agency Landor has announced that it is to appoint a new managing director for its eight European offices.

Cheryl Giovannoni will replace Phil Duncan, who will leave his post on June 27th to begin work at Proctor & Gamble. Mr Duncan has overseen the role for the past two years.

Ms Giovannoni joined Landor in 2005 as managing director of the London office and has recently undertaken work for supermarket giant Morrisons.

She also helped the company win Marketing magazine's Agency of the Year award in 2007.

Landor chief executive Charlie Wrench said that Ms Giovannoni has a "stellar" track record.

"I am looking to her to develop the rest of the reg¬ion to the same effect and I have every confidence she will execute flawlessly against that," he said.

Andrew Welch will be promoted to become head of corporate brand at Landor in London.

Landor is a brand marketing and development agency, with clients including Danone, FedEx and HSBC.
