Two new qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing have been accepted onto a national recognition scheme, it has emerged.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has announced that two of its new learning programmes have been accepted onto the National Qualifications Framework by the UK's Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

This could be a crucial factor in their take-up by people looking for training in the marketing sector, as well as for education centres looking to provide them, as the government will only fund qualifications that are on the NQF or QCF.

CIM director of education Keith Fletcher said that he was pleased to make the announcement.

"I am absolutely delighted that the QCA has recognised and accredited our new qualifications. Students across the globe can continue to have every confidence that the quality of our qualifications remains as high as ever as they start out on their professional marketing careers," he said.

The CIM level 4 Professional Certificate in Marketing aims to be an introduction into the sector, while the CIM level 4 Professional Certificate in Marketing would be an advancement of existing knowledge, according to the National Database of Accredited Qualifications.

Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
