Mediaburst appoints new MD

Mobile marketing firm Mediaburst has announced the appointment of Gary Bury as the new managing director of the firm.

Gary Bury, former finance director at the company, has been appointed as a replacement for Jeremy Bygrave in the MD role at the Alderley Edge-based firm.

Mr Bury is a qualified accountant who has previously worked with businesses in New Zealand and as finance director of property consultants Ep2 back in the UK in 2003, Crain's Manchester Business reports.

He said: "Mediaburst has made significant progress over the past year as a mobile marketing company and 2008-9 will see the company consolidate and build its business relationships with marketing and advertising agencies."

Mediaburst said that Mr Bury will consolidate recent progress made by the firm and help the company develop and deploy digital media strategies for advertising and marketing agencies.

A mobile messaging and interactive telephony company, Mediaburst partners with agencies to offer expertise and mobile capability.

It is used by a range of businesses, network operators and software developers.
