PR jobseekers could be set to benefit from a buoyant employment market in the sector.
Despite the gloomy economic outlook occasioned by a biting credit crunch, the PR job market is performing well, reports PR Week.
According to research conducted by the site, the jobs market in the sector has remained buoyant, with job numbers registering a higher figure in comparison to last year.
The research, which involved five recruitment specialists dealing with PR, also found that confidence was high among PR practitioners and that they were not afraid of changing jobs.
In-house vacancies have increased, PR agencies are busy with recruitment and one company even registered an 80 per cent rise in vacancies in the first four months of this year.
A recent survey of senior PR insiders revealed the UK is in charge of a significant level of international PR operations, with some companies' revenues resulting from as much as 90 per cent international work.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
