British advertising agency Lean Mean Fighting Machine has picked up an award at the Cannes Lions 55th International Advertising Festival.
Lean Mean Fighting Machine (LMFM) has won the Cyber Lions interactive ad agency of the year award at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.
The agency beat Crispin, Porter & Bogusky Miami, which had won the award for the past two years. It is the first time a UK company has won the award.
"It is great that a small independent agency can win, because it shows that you don't have to have the massive resources of a big agency to do quality work," Sam Ball, a creative partner at LMFM, explained to MediaGuardian.
LMFM was set up four years ago by four former executives of Tribal DDB and currently has 21 staff.
Glue London was also awarded a gold lion award in the digital category for its work with Mini, as was the Rumpus Room for its EMI Music Pet Shop Boys campaign.
This year's event was the 55th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. A record 28,000 entries were received.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
