A UK-based digital agency has announced a new appointment.

Cheeze, a digital and direct agency based in the UK, has announced that it has appointed a new managing director.

Former client service director Matt O'Brien will be promoted to take up the role, replacing Katherine Jerman, who will be taking a six-month sabbatical.

Ms Jerman will return to the agency as a consultant for the company upon her return, reports Precision Marketing.

Mr O'Brien will report to Cheeze's parent company chief executive, Digital Marketing Group's Ben Langdon.

"As a founder member of the Cheeze team who has played a big part in its success, Matt is the natural choice to take the agency to the next level of its development," Mr Langdon commented.

He added that he was "delighted" that Ms Jerman will be returning to the agency.

Cheeze aims to provide its clients with a combination of services and digital marketing solutions. The company works across digital channels including search engine optimisation, digital advertising and price comparison marketing.

Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
