Digital agency employees are optimistic about their future, it has emerged.
A new report has suggested that employees of digital agencies are optimistic about the coming 12 months.
The study, published by E-Consultancy, found that 80 per cent of agencies estimated their revenue for 2008 to outdo that made in 2007.
They predicted their turnover to grow by an average of 28 per cent for 2008 and also said their charge-out rates had gone up by 17 per cent since 2006.
Linus Gregoriadis, head of research at E-consultancy, said she was pleased that digital agencies were so confident, but pointed out there is still a shortage of skilled professionals within the industry in general.
"Digital agencies are generally very upbeat about the short to medium term future despite the continued gloom within the wider economic environment. However, running digital agencies profitably is undoubtedly becoming more challenging," she commented.
Last month, a spokesperson for Graduate Prospects advised graduates struggling to find jobs in the face of a skills shortage to approach recruitment agencies.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
