Big Brother company makes new appointment

TV production group Endemol has announced it has appointed a new digital executive.
TV production company Endemol, creators of Big Brother and Deal or no Deal, have appointed Adam Valkin as global head of digital media, it has emerged.
Valkin has worked in digital media for 12 years and was the founder of remote DVD rental service Lovefilm, as well as Blinkbox, the online film site, Brand Republic reports.
It is the first executive appointment made by new chief executive Ynon Kreiz, who is reported to be in line for £50 million if he meets earning targets set by the company.
Mr Kreiz said he was pleased to have given Mr Valkin the role.
"He is someone with a venture capital background who's seen all the new technology, the start-ups and the new ideas. Adam is an entrepreneur with a proven ability to build businesses in the digital domain and a strong commercial and operational grip," he told the Financial Times.
Endemol UK is one of the largest independent production companies in Britain and produces over 6,000 hours of output each year.
