Double-edged marketing campaign announced from car rental company
Car rental firm Avis has launched a new advertising campaign to highlight both its home delivery service and its offer of car rentals for as little as one pound per day.
The company has launched an online campaign, reflecting the growing popularity of online marketing, and it is expected the whole campaign will last two months.
With a combination of banner ads targeting a nationwide message and blogs and networking sites being used to advertise local-specific information, the company hopes to reach people on both a general and personal level.
Josi Kytle, Avis' head of marketing, commented: "Creating awareness of these offers is paramount for us, as we believe it will help differentiate us from the competition."
The campaign comes to complement Avis' slogan ''We try harder'', and Kytle hopes that the company's name will be at the forefront of consumers' minds when they next look to rent a car.
Darren Peacock, international marketing manager at Avis, said: "With this promotion, we want to raise Avis' profile in the consumer's purchase decision-making process, emphasising that it stands for great value supported by excellent service.
"Making sure we target the most relevant consumers is hugely important," he added, making a nod to specific online ads via blogs and networking site campaigns.
