Tim Williamson appointed new role withing TUI
TUI marketing director Tim Williamson has been appointed customer director for the travel company, it has been reported.
Joining the board of directors in a newly created role, Mr Williamson has been promoted despite retaining his responsibilities as director of marketing.
The position now means he is responsible for "customer service, delivery and the customer journey", as well as his old responsibilities including overseeing the Thomson and First Choice brands.
Speaking about the new role, a TUI spokeswoman said: "His role will be to determine the service proposition across all areas of the business, to ensure that TUI deals with its customers in a consistent manner wherever the business may touch them."
The new role comes as part of a larger reshuffle at TUI following the merger between Thompson and First Choice.
Williamson was originally head of marketing for First Choice, and was appointed the position in the newly merged company over the Thomson counterpart Andrew Rayner last year.
Blue Skies Marketing Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance agency and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, digital, DM, events, experiential, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
