Part Time Finance Assistant | Stratford upon Avon | 25-30 hrs per week
blueskies are recruitment specialists in marketing, creative, digital, PR across both in-house and agency markets. We are now looking for a Finance Assistant to work alongside our Finance Manager in managing the day to day financial and administrative operations for the office; duties will include:
- Managing our freelancer payroll process
- Raising invoices
- Reconciling timesheets (using Excel)
- Purchase ledger
- Sales ledger
- Raising ad-hoc freelance payments
- Ordering office supplies, answering calls and other general administrative duties as required
We are a small friendly and ambitious team who are all passionate about our business and live and breathe our company values by sharing our expertise, being bold, loving what we do and doing the right thing.
We are looking for a likeminded individual with the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of purchase and sales ledger is advantageous
- Knowledge and experience of accounting software (Sage or Quickbooks ideally)
- Experience of creating and using spreadsheets with the ability to present data graphically
- Accuracy and an eye for detail
- Good organisational skills with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, particularly when meeting strict reporting deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Excellent project and time management skills; deadline driven

A Recruitment Consultant at blueskies is responsible for managing their own desk, developing new business and offering a best in class service to clients and candidates alike. We work in a highly autonomous environment, so you'll need to be motivated to achieve and exceed targets for both your activity levels (e.g. sales calls and meetings) and also your monthly and quarterly sales targets. With this you'll get all the support necessary to enable you to become a true expert in your sector and establish yourself as the go to recruiter of choice in your specific market.
Our consultants come from a range of backgrounds and having recruitment experience is not the most important thing. To be successful within our business we look for someone with an ability to build exceptional relationships at all levels, a drive to succeed and achieve, a proven consultative and honest approach to sales, excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the right mind-set and values - honest, flexible and reliable with a great work ethic and passion to succeed!
Of particular interest would be anyone with at least 12 months' experience in a recruitment environment (any sector is fine – we can teach you all you need to know about marketing, PR, digital and creative!) and therefore a solid understanding of the pace required to work in a busy sales environment.
