Lloyd’s Register is one of the world’s leading providers of professional services for engineering and technology – improving safety and increasing the performance of critical infrastructures for customers in over 75 countries worldwide. The profits generated fund the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a charity which supports engineering-related research, education and public engagement. This drives their main goal: working together for a safer world.
Lloyd’s Register needed someone to quickly fill the role of Global PR and Communications Coordinator for a fixed-term contract of 12 months to provide maternity cover. This role involved supporting both the PR and marketing team through the creation and implementation of press releases and social media content, in addition to the distribution of thought leadership content.
They asked blueskies to find them someone who had strong copywriting skills and who was able to manage several different projects at once. They also needed someone who could confidently liaise with various stakeholders, including journalists and publications. It was a challenging brief, however we managed to find Lloyd’s Register the perfect candidate; someone who had a wealth of experience from a professional background, and someone who was able to write quality content of a technical nature, ideal for writing press releases and blogs about aerospace, engineering, manufacturing and more!
“Claire quickly understood our brief and what I required."
"One word that comes to mind when I think about blueskies is understanding.”
Beth Elliot, Global Marketing Communications Manager
