Whittlebury Hall and Spa Limited is an independent Conference, Training Centre, Hotel and Spa, and was built in 1999. Whittlebury Hall has continued to expand and now has refreshed 254 bedrooms including 5 suites; 52 training, syndicate, conference and meeting rooms. In addition, Whittlebury Hall has one of the largest spas in the UK, with 32 treatments rooms, a full range of hydrotherapy and Heat and Ice Experiences, Rasul and Hair Studio.
The two roles of PR & Social Media Executive and Marketing Administration Assistant were required for their busy marketing and PR team, and it was vital to find and recruit for individuals that could meet the job requirements of the two different roles as quickly as possible for minimum impact on the teams and business.
The Marketing Assistant role was available for a school or university leaver which are quite often the most difficult roles to recruit for given the volume of applications received and lack of experience required. In this case, there were a couple of stand-out candidates but the successful one had a degree in Marketing with an industrial placement year working for an excellent brand and who had the drive and determination to succeed and the hunger for development which was widely available in this role. In the case of the PR & Social Media role, the brief was to find a candidate who had been highly commercial in their previous role and who understood the importance of writing great press releases for both a B2B and B2C audiences which would ultimately help to drive brand awareness and increase bookings for Whittlebury Hall. The outstanding candidate here showed that level of commercial awareness having worked in a fast moving, global business previously where they had been exposed to key-business driven PR projects and the role was a step-up in their development.
